2. Always wear a seatbelt

This is kind of obvious in an intuitive way. You will not be bounced around so much if the vehicle stops quickly. Yeah, but it is inconvenient and uncomfortable and takes time to buckle it up.

A closer look at the energies involved in a vehicle crash, even low speed, show that it makes excellent sense to wear a restraint. How much energy does it take to break your nose, tooth or take the skin off your face? Not so much. Now consider high speed, and remember the energy goes up as the square of the velocity i.e. 4 is not twice 2, but 4 times the energy. So, it is a no brainer to use a restraint. Always!
